Practice Areas

If you are contemplating a dissolution of marriage, you need legal representation from knowledgeable and experienced legal counsel. You can arrange for a consultation with a West Palm Beach divorce lawyer at our offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Wellington, Florida. We care about our clients and strategically advocate on their behalf. Our law firm provides a full spectrum of family law services, including:

Divorce: We represent clients in all aspects of dissolution of marriage proceedings, including the division of property and assets, alimony, child custody, child custody relocation, and modification of child custody proceedings.

Child Custody and Visitation Rights: In Florida, child custody and visitation is legally described as “time-sharing”. We assist our clients in negotiating and drafting Parenting Plans, and advocate on behalf of our clients in time-sharing disputes.

Division of Property and Assets: We strategically assist our clients in effectuating a favorable division of marital assets, including businesses, professional practices, real estate, investments, pensions, retirement accounts and trusts.

Alimony: We advise and represent our clients in the negotiation and litigation of alimony awards in the State of Florida. There are four types of alimony in Florida: (i) bridge-the-gap, (ii) rehabilitative, (iii) durational, and (iv) permanent alimony. A court can award one or any combination of these forms of alimony, and a Florida court can order that alimony shall be paid in periodic payments or in a lump sum. At the present time, there is legislation pending, that will eliminate permanent alimony in the State of Florida.

High Asset / High Net-Worth Divorce: We provide sound legal advice and strategic representation to our high asset/high net-worth divorce clients. We possess the financial acumen required to represent our clients in cases involving the most complex financial issues.

Prenuptial & Postnuptial Agreements: We litigate the validity and enforceability of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Child Custody Relocation: Florida has specific laws pertaining to child custody relocation. We skillfully advocate on behalf of our clients in child custody relocation proceedings.

Child Custody Modification: We represent clients in child custody modification proceedings when there is a change of circumstances that requires the modification of a Final Judgment awarding time-sharing and parental responsibility. In order to modify a time-sharing schedule in the State of Florida, the petitioning party must demonstrate that there has been a substantial, material, and unanticipated change of circumstances and that the modification of the current Parenting Plan is in the best interests of the child. The best interests of the child is the primary consideration for the court in granting or denying a Supplemental Petition for Modification of a Parenting Plan.

Unmarried Parents: We assist unmarried parents in establishing their rights to custody, visitation, and decision-making authority for their children.

Same-Sex Divorce: In Florida, same-sex divorce is treated the same as heterosexual divorce. The issues that are involved are: time-sharing, parental responsibility, the division of assets, alimony, and child support.

Representing Professional Athletes: Professional athletes need a divorce lawyer and family law attorney in their corner who will protect their financial interests and their relationships with their children. We work with sports agents, business attorneys, forensic accountants and financial advisors to ensure that our clients privacy, relationships and financial wellbeing are protected.
